WCSC: World Class Sustainable Cities 2011 - Kuala Lumpur

The third series of World Class Sustainable Cities (WCSC) conference is themed “Transforming Cities: From Vision to Implementation”. Global challenges and the ensuing economic competitiveness, as well as issues of climate change, has forced cities to re-think their growth strategies. City Transformation has been a successful growth strategy in many cities in order to not just provide settlements to live, work and play, but also the twin challenge of mitigating climate change.

This conference has been designed to showcase some of the best and successful practices and experiences from world class cities, as well as to inform participants of the efforts made within our own nation.
It will be a constructive platform to enlighten, educate and increase our knowledge of city stakeholders, industry players, government agencies and the general public on the key challenges to transform our cities into sustainable human settlements that meets the needs of the present and enhancing that of the future.  It will be a strategic platform for networking amongst professionals, city managers and citizen groups to exchange ideas, experiences and challenges.
