SIEW 2019 features a number of concurrent energy events such as Singapore-IEA Forum, co-hosted by the EMA, Asia Clean Energy Summit, Asian Downstream Summit and Gas Asia Summit.

First held in 2008, SIEW continues to bring the world’s leading conferences and exhibitions together in one week, one location. Its main goals are to delve deeper into how Singapore could develop a reliable and secure energy supply, promote effective competition in the energy market and develop a dynamic energy sector in Singapore and ASEAN.

The theme for SIEW 2019 is, “Accelerating Energy Transformation” which calls on global energy stakeholders to foster collaboration and accelerate efforts towards a more sustainable energy future. This is important given the rapidly expanding energy demand, especially in Asia, and the increased electrification of transportation, industries and buildings. At the same time, there continue to be concerns over meeting climate change commitments, even as renewable energy investments hit record highs.

Anchor events at SIEW include the SIEW Opening Keynote and Singapore Energy Summit which feature high-level keynotes and panel discussions around this year’s theme. Other key events such as Singapore-IEA Forum, co-hosted by the EMA, Asia Clean Energy Summit, Asian Downstream Summit and Gas Asia Summit will bring you the latest in renewable energy, downstream and gas. For more niche energy issues and in-depth discussions, SIEW Energy Insights, SIEW Thinktank Roundtables, Youth@SIEW and various SIEW partner events provide an opportunity to focus in on industry-specific topics and explore partnership opportunities with some of the world’s leading international organisations.

Site visits by Accenture and Siemens are also available for those who wish to better understand the latest innovations in Smart Infrastructures and energy digitalization.
